Winter weather travel advisory in force
Hazard:
On Wednesday evening, snowfall amounts of 10-15 cm are expected to rapidly accumulate. Sometimes snowfall rates up to 3 cm per hour can be possible.
When:
Through Wednesday evening
Discussion:
A developing low pressure system will bring large amounts snow to the area. This evening will see light snow, which will then intensify overnight. Additional snowfall is possible Wednesday evening.
Impacts:
Turn on your lights if visibility is reduced while driving and maintain a safe distance. The accumulation of snow can make it difficult to navigate surfaces such as roads, sidewalks, walkways, and parking lots. In heavy snow, visibility may be affected suddenly. Road closures are possible.
