Estonia’s green transition will be led by the environment ministry undersecretary | News

Kristi Klaas, Undersecretary, stated that a well-thought out plan must be created to show how different sectors will contribute.

“We have excellent universities, entrepreneurs with a vision of the future, local governments and communities that are committed to the well-being and sustainability of our citizens, which can help us all create a cleaner, more prosperous Estonia. Estonia has a great chance to make the green transition,” she said.

Klaas’ plan focuses on key activities, division of responsibilities, and cooperation.

She has been working at the Ministry of the Environment from 2002 to November 2018, and is currently undersecretary.
