Skills for Justice endorses our Hostile Environment Awareness training. It is mapped against National Occupational Standards (NOS: SKSJ40 Works in Hostile or Challenging Environments
The training ensures that all employees are fully prepared to deploy to high-risk areas. The HEAT course examines the various contexts of Sudanese and South Sudan, current threats and vulnerabilities, as well as exposure to individual and organizational risk.
SMS HEAT Course is a combination of theory and practice that will equip participants to respond to and avoid potential threats.
The HEAT course is focused on the different contexts of Sudan/South Sudan, current threats, vulnerabilities and exposure to individual/organisational risk. It will offer an opportunity to discuss and review existing policies and procedures, giving ample opportunity Security Focal Points Managers to assess and evaluate existing protocols.
Learners will be assigned modules on South Sudan and Sudan. They will also learn about Personal Safety, Site Security, Travel Safety, Kidnap Avoidance, and Survival of a Hostage. The training will end with a package of First Aid that focuses on the Management and Prevention of Catastrophic Bleeding. All of which will give participants the tools they need to remain safe in their workplace*.*
