The Lincolnshire chalk streams, blow wells, and other geological features are very important and provide an exceptional habitat for native species. But they need to be looked after.
North East Lincolnshire Council’s ecology group is looking for volunteers to help wild habitats thrive.
Kingston Gardens will host the latest opportunity for you to get involved on Friday, 28 January at 10:30am to 2pm
Blow wells are a rare form of artesian-spring habitat that is found only in this region. There are 37 of these between Barton upon Humber und Louth.
The team will be removing bramble in order to create footpaths and access as part the Lincolnshire Chalk Streams Project.
There are no public toilets within walking distance. Street parking is available, but it is limited on Kingston Avenue and Littlefield Lane.
Volunteers who share a passion for nature conservation, or simply enjoy being outdoors, will be greatly appreciated.

Volunteers are welcome to join the team for a few hours or for the entire day. You will need work gloves, sturdy boots, enthusiasm, and a lunch.
