The Arkansas Department of Energy & Environment – Division of Environmental Quality (“DEQ”) issued a January 24th news release referencing two electrical vehicle charging stations funding programs.
The programs will begin on February 1st.
First, DEQ stated that it will continue its Level 2 electric vehicle supply program. The program was first started in 2021 and offered rebates for the purchase of Level 2 electric car charging stations. These charging stations can fully charge electric vehicles in as little as eight hours using a 240-volt output.
There are approximately $215,000 worth of rebate funds available to government, private and non-profit organizations in 2022.

DEQ is also continuing to fund its funding program for 150-kilowatt DC Quick Charge stations. These charging stations can charge electric vehicles in 30 minutes.
DEQ stated that applications for DC Fast Charge Program are accepted until April 30th.
Both programs will be discussed in a webinar that Zoom will conduct at 1:00 PM on January 28, 2013.
The Volkswagen settlement, which awarded $14.6 million to the State of Arkansas, provided funding for the programs previously mentioned.
