Winter weather travel advisory in force
Hazards:
Snow in total amounts of 5-10cm
Visibility is reduced by blowing snow and short heavier snow.
When:
This morning through the afternoon.
Discussion:
This morning, a snow band will arrive. Gusty southwesterly winds can cause snow drifts in exposed areas, as well as reduced visibility. The snow will gradually melt to scattered flurries and periods of drizzle later in the afternoon into the evening.
Impacts:
Motorists should be prepared for winter driving conditions. Turn on your lights if visibility is reduced and keep a safe distance. Sometimes visibility will drop to zero in heavy snow and blowing powder.
