Winter weather travel advisory in place
Hazards:
Snow with total amounts of 5-10 cm
Visibility is reduced by blowing snow and short heavier snow.
When:
From this morning to this afternoon.
Discussion:
Today will see a blanket of snow. Gusty southerly wind will cause local blowing snow in areas that are exposed and reduce visibility. The snow will become scattered flurries or drizzle this evening.
Impacts:
Winter driving conditions can be dangerous and motorists should adjust their travel plans accordingly. If visibility is reduced while driving turn on your lights and maintain safe distance. In heavy snow or blowing snow, visibility can suddenly drop to almost zero.
