Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto, warning of “strong winds” expected to hit the area on Saturday.
The StatementThe alert was issued shortly after 7:01 a.m. and stated that strong winds gusting between 70-80 kilometres per hour were possible.
According to the agency, some areas could experience reduced visibility due to blowing snow.
Environment Canada said the strong winds would weaken “rapidly” by Saturday evening.
