Data analytics companies are today CoralogixSnowbit, a SaaS-based managed extension detection and response product (MXDR), was announced as a new cyber security tool. It is a cloud-based cyber security tool that gives organizations a top view of their cloud environments security.

Snowbit uses Coralogix’s data-streaming capabilities for processing data from across an organization environment. Machine learning is used to detect threats and respond automatically.

It also gives organizations 24/7 access to expert cybersecurity assistance.

The MXDR approach to the organizations was created to enable enterprises and decision-makers access on-demand support and protection from cyber threats. It also reduces reliance on security teams in-house who are struggling to deal with the increased attack surface of cloud era.

Cyber security in the cloud

With 90% of organizations using cloud technologies in some way, the attack surface for attackers has increased dramatically to the point that few in-house departments have the resources or expertise to protect these sprawling hybrid cloud environments.

Researchers estimate that 90% of the population is in need of assistance. Security leaders There is a shortage of cybersecurity skills within the company.

The skills shortage has made reducing risks for organizations difficult, not only in cloud environments but also in network security.

In fact, 51% are security and SOCDecision makers report that their team is overwhelmed by the volume and quality of alerts. 55% admit that they are unsure if they can prioritize and respond to them.

VentureBeat was informed by Arial Assaraf, CEO of Coralogix, that there is an acute shortage of cybersecurity talent. This is leading to many organizations not having adequate staffed in-house security departments. Talent is costly, difficult to retain, and can be difficult to access credible third-party security talent.

The attack surface and complexity are also dramatically increasing due to the increasing leverage of cloud, both multi-provider infrastructure as well as SaaS.

MXDR approaches such as those used by Snowbit may be able to help organizations reduce talent shortages by providing immediate access to offsite security professionals with the high-level expertise required to secure complex cloud environments.

Standing out from MDR or XDR is possible.

Coralogix is a part of the global Extended detection and responseThe market was valued at $505 millions in 2020. It is expected to grow 19.9% annually as organizations invest more in security solutions to address cyber threats in dispersed cloud and IoT environments.

The organization is competing with a variety of providers in the space, including MDR providers Arctic Wolf, which was awarded a ValuationLast year, it was worth $4.3 billion. It offers 24/7 monitoring for advanced threats to enterprises, with incident response and root cause analysis capabilities.

Another competitor is Rapid7The following was reported by RevenueIn 2021, it will be $535 million. InsightIDR by Rapid7 is the main solution. This XDR/SIEM tool includes endpoint detection, response, network traffic analysis and incident response capabilities.
