Scientists recommend that newborns are exposed to microbes in the environment.

“Its necessary to banish classic idea that we must have everything spotless, shiny, without bacteria, in areas where newborns and younger children live. It has been proven that this is not good,” the Malaga Institute of Clinical Immunology and Infectious Diseases Director Fernando Farias told the Infosalus site.

One of the present causes that could be behind increased autoimmune and allergic diseases, or even some cancers in general, is because we have lost biodiversity, quantity and quality of these microorganisms that live in us, so they are super important ” Mr. Farinas argued.

The Spanish expert explained that Microbes have the ability to protect us against other bacteria, or aid in digestion and absorption nutrients; or even metabolic and neurological processes.

The most important thing is that these microorganisms can build an immune system capable to withstand external and internal challenges.

Even microbes have the ability to produce neurotransmitters which can have a positive effect on anxiety, stress and depression.
