How high-ethanol gas sales could impact gas prices, the environment, and agriculture

Tuesday’s visit by President Biden to Iowa is part of his latest effort to reduce rising gas prices. He announced that he would allow the sale summer months of high-ethanol gas.

Due to concerns about pollution, a federal rule prohibits gasoline with a higher level of ethanol in hot months.

Robert BrownIowa State University’s Bioeconomy Institute director, explained what the changes could look like.
