Kholofelo sethebe never learned how to swim. She is now a marine biologist and can swim with seals.
Kholofelo sethebe was first drawn towards the sea as a child when she visited Cape Town, South Africa’s landlocked province.
However, her fears of the ocean were not new. As a qualified marine biologist, she is now learning to swim.
She saw the SeaKarin Slater’s film “The uplifting film” follows Kholofelo, a lively diver, as she braves the sea to discover a beautiful new underwater world.
Karin Slater, a South African cinematographer and director, has more than 30 years experience. Her films have been screened at major festivals and broadcast internationally. She has won numerous awards, including at Mipdoc in Switzerland and the Innovative Film Festival. She is a judging member for the Academy (Oscars), and specializes in wildlife filmmaking.
