The Honourable Bernard Davis is Minister of Environment and Climate Change and has announced the following events in relation to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of Environmental Protection Act.

Register an Undertaking

Hampden By-road (Reg. 2197)
Town of Hampden: Proponent
The proposal is to construct a municipal byroad for residential property fronting and access in the Town of Hampden. The proposed by-road will measure approximately 200m in length and be constructed using standard construction methods, including clearing, grubbing and the placement of rock/granular Sub-base with granular Class A topping. Depending on feasibility, asphalt topping could be used in the future. A description of the project can be found on the Departments web page at www.gov.nl.ca/ecc/env-assessment/projects-list

The undertaking was registered May 5, 2022. Public comment is due June 10, 2022. The minister’s decision must be received by June 19, 2022.
