KAMLOOPS Environment Canada is reminding travelers in the Columbia, Shuswap, Nicola regions of possible flurries on local roads for the second day running.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather advisory Tuesday morning (May 10) morning stating that there is the potential for flurries to occur over the high-altitude mountain pass on the Coquihalla Highway, Hope to Merritt.
Light flurries are expected to continue around the Coquihalla Summit. However, the weather agency states that heavier flurries are possible, but they will be brief and limited. Expect snow levels to remain below the summit in cooler and less settled conditions.
Environment Canada reports that light flurries will be seen along the Trans Canada Highway between Eagle Pass and Rogers Pass. However, short, concentrated stretches of stronger flurries may also be possible. The pass level will be snow-free.
