Horncastle born-and-bred Jess Holland, 20, has opened Rose&B at the former music shop on the corner of the High Street and Bull Ring.

The shop sells healthy and tasty loose foods like yogurt coated with cranberries, dark cocoa beans and milk chocolate raisins.

Jess also sells a variety of locally-sourced food in her shop. These include honey and home-baked cakes from Annies Country Kitchen. Both are locally-sourced from Horncastle as well as Maud Foster Mill products.

Jess hopes to increase the variety of local products she offers over the next few weeks.

It’s already very popular and offers a great opportunity local food producers to showcase their work, stated Jess.

Rose&B also has a range of home, garden, baby and childrens gifts and everyday products which minimise waste, all at affordable prices.

While we all want the planet to be kinder, not everyone has the time or money. Jess said that we can make a difference by avoiding single-use plastic, choosing bamboo products, and choosing toiletries made without microplastic. They are also cruelty free and vegan.

Rose&B sells a range of preloved baby clothes, which in its opening week, has been hugely popular and Jess is looking to extend the range to bigger sizes.

We all know that baby clothes are rarely worn so it makes sense to reuse them and sell them at a low price, she said.

Jess has been overwhelmed with the support and wishes she has received.

She said, “It’s my hometown and I want my business success and to bring and keep people shopping here in Horncastle.”

Rose&B is open Monday to Saturday from 10am. Visit: roseandb.square.site/ or call 01507 526566.
