Colleen Ferguson, Publicworks Director, is happy to announce Erica Warren, the City’s new Environmental Compliance analyst. On Tuesday, December 7, she began her new position. Ms. Warren is the City’s Environmental Compliance analyst and is responsible for the City’s stormwater permit program, other environmental programs, and developing and maintaining geographic data systems (GIS), assets inventories, maps, technical reports, and technical reports, for the Public Works Department.
Ms. Warren was chosen from a pool highly qualified candidates in an open recruitment process. Ms. Warren brings experience in Sonoma Creek health, having worked at the Sonoma Ecology Center in post fire toxin containment and coordination of the creek management program. Prior to that, Ms. Warren worked for more than two decades in utility-scale environmental monitors of construction projects, protecting waterquality and listed species under ESA, and as an investigator of habitat restoration successes of wetlands, pools and vegetation within riparian corridor. Ms. Warren holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Science & Management/Ecology at the University of San Francisco.
Ms. Warren stated that she was grateful for the opportunity of working with the City and the community to preserve the beautiful Sonoma Creek watershed.
