Treyarch is closely associated with Activision Blizzard who are the series’ publishers. They have been embroiled in lawsuits and accusations of creating an unsafe workplace culture with sexual misconduct at multiple levels of the company for much of 2021. Recent allegations have shown that the CEO of the company knew about it all the time. It has become so chaotic that almost every week, there seems to be a new statement on social media. It’s quite interesting and disappointing to see that Activision Blizzard has one of its studios make such a statement. While the main company has been issuing legal statements and press releases, they seem more defensive than proactive about this type of culture. Treyarch should be commended for taking a greater step than its parent company.
