Another 5-10cm of snow expected for Greater Victoria: Environment Canada
Special weather statement issued on Dec. 28 predicts overnight snowfall
Brace yourselves, because we’re due for another round of flurries tomorrow (Dec. 29) evening.
Environment Canada has issued snowfall warnings for Vancouver Island and parts the mainland. There is 5-10cm of snow forecast. The Dec. 28 news release included Vancouver Island and the Southern Gulf Islands, Sunshine Coast and Howe Sound, Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and Metro Vancouver.
Environment Canada says that a storm system will move across the southern coast of B.C. starting Wednesday evening and lasting through Thursday morning, bringing “widespread snow” the the affected regions.
According to the government agency, parts of Vancouver Island, North Shore Mountains, and Sunshine Coast could see more than 10cm worth of snow.
Environment Canada warns drivers that snow can affect visibility and make it difficult to travel.
