According to the agency, snow is expected intensify over Trans-Canada Highway Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass and will continue until Monday night.
According to the weather office, the northern B.C. The interior can expect up 20 cm of heavy snow above Teslin and Cassiar Mountains, and Watson Lake, while the central and northern coasts can expect up 50 cm.
It is expected that snow will intensify tonight, and continue through Sunday. There are also 50 cm of snow forecasted over the Sea to Sky Corridor.
Environment Canada warns that strong winds up to 70 km/h will be generated by the approaching Pacific frontal system for East Vancouver Island, Metro Vancouver and other areas. However, these conditions are expected to improve overnight.
It is predicted that lower winds will bring warmer air to the area, which could lead to flurries overnight.
