According to Lubna Sharwath, environment activist – The New Indian Express, Hyderabad’s lake has shrunk

By Express News Service

HYDERABAD – A field survey was conducted by Dr Lubna Sharwath, an environmental activist, on Saturday to see how lakes look despite repeated requests for scientific restoration.

The lake was filled with toxic foam and was heavily polluted from garbage left by locals. In 2017, a petition was filed with the Human Rights Commission to stop pollution and remove the Full Tank Limit (FTL). However, the lake’s condition has worsened. Lubna was questioned about the accountability of the Collector, MRO and other officials.
