According to whistleblower, overloaded Environment Agency staff cannot properly regulate landfills.

An insider told ENDS that the Environment Agency staff are so overworked that they are unable to inspect waste sites regularly, are unable properly assess landfill designs and are discouraged from rejecting them because of the extra workload.
