Adventure Camp About the Environment combines summer fun with natural resources | Local

LINCOLN Whether it’s a snake wrapped around a wrist, or a cool splash at the Middle Loup River Middle Loup River, Adventure Camp about the Environment has something to offer this year. Register now for ACE Camp at the State 4-H Youth Camp near Halsey, Nebraska’s Natural Resources Districts.

Nebraska’s 23 NRDs encourage middle-school students who are interested in the outdoors and education to sign up for this action-packed, educational camp. Students must have completed sixth, seventh, or eighth grade during the 2021-2022 school years to be eligible.

Students can participate in four-day adventure camps that focus on natural resources. Sessions provide information on Nebraska’s water resources and wildlife, soil, trees and range, technology, and more. ACE Camp takes students outside to explore the world.

Campers can also experience archery, zip-lining, and tube the river. Students will be able to gain a better understanding of the possible careers in natural resource conservation by learning from professionals.

The fee for registration and fees is $235 per camper. Four scholarships are available from the North Platte NRD. Send a 200-word explanation of why you would like the camp to [email protected].
