The days of the football office being a frat house have passed. This was the atmosphere under the leadership of Les Miles and Ed Orgeron.
LSU is currently under investigation for Title IX violations. This includes Verge Ausberry, executive deputy athletic director, and Miriam Segar, senior associate AD, who were involved in handling sexual misconduct complaints. Both have been suspended by the school.
A lawsuit was also filed by 10 former students and current students against LSU for allegedly failing to respond to sexual assault complaints or violating Title IX policies.
Sharon Lewis, who used to be the schools associate AD for football recruiting, is now suing LSU. She is suing LSU as well as Ausberry and Segar. The suits claim that they conspired with Miles to cover up her sexual harassment and then retaliated towards her for reporting it.
Kelly let go Lewis, who was one of the staff members.He was hired in December. Kelly is fair and expects a lot of turnover among the roster and support staff when new coaches take over Power 5 programmes.

Lewis claims she was fired from her job weeks after LSU announced that Frank Wilson, the associate head coach, would be returning to the university.
Wilson was a star recruiter for Miles and he mainly focused on the New Orleans region. He left LSU in order to become Texas-San Antonio coach in 2016. After four seasons, he left LSU to become coach at Texas-San Antonio in 2016.
Wilson’s hire was celebrated. His return helped calm LSU fans after Orgeron’s departures.
In her new suit Lewis accuses Wilson, of harassing him and exposing himself to others during his first stint with LSU. Lewis also claims that she reported Wilson’s behavior to Ausberry, Segar, and nothing was done. Lewis also accuses Wilson, who Lewis claims harassed female workers and students, in a similar fashion to the complaints against Miles.
USA TODAY spoke with two former LSU staffers who confirmed Lewis’s allegation.
Everyone knew Frank. One of the former staffers, who was still in her 20s at that time, told USA TODAY. It reached a point that we couldn’t have any of his girls working with him. Franks sexual harassment was something I dealt with for many years. His comments. His behavior. He made me and many other girls feel so uncomfortable.
Kelly can be trusted to not have known about these accusations at the time he hired Wilson. Like any good LSU coach he was looking to find someone with connections in New Orleans to keep that talent pipeline flowing to Baton Rouge and stop it leaving the state.
However, LSU should have stepped in and said no, considering all that has happened to the football program over the past three seasons.
LSU has strongly denied the allegation.
According to Ernie Ballard III, a spokesperson for LSU, we are unaware of any previous allegations against Frank Wilson. We also don’t know if any such allegations have ever been reported to LSU officials. These allegations were not shared in the highly visible and independent Title IX review, which LSU initiated last January.

LSU’s track record of handling sexual harassment and sexual assault allegations over the past ten years is not to be questioned. Lewis is the only LSU employee who has lost his job due to this scandal.
That statement rings a little louder than the LSU statement disputing Lewis’ latest allegation.
