The Blue Thumb Award was presented to the distributor of aloe Vera products and the Pollution Prevention Award for the seventh year.

Publication by the DallasBoth awards are based upon Aloe Vera’s annual compliance performance as well as best management practices for natural resources conservation. This is the seventh consecutive year that Aloe Vera America has won both a Blue Thumb Award as well as a Pollution Prevention Award.
The Blue Thumb Award, a prestigious honor, is awarded to organizations that meet all federal and local pretreatment requirements for monitoring, reporting and manufacturing wastewater. It is based upon regulatory compliance for all permit limits. DallasThe testing is done to determine the wastewater discharge quality. Aloe Vera America has three wastewater sampling points. Samples are taken unannounced twice a month from these points. Aloe vera of America must achieve 24 perfect water sampling results in a calendar year, and pass two yearly inspections that score perfect. To be eligible for the Blue Thumb Award Aloe Vera has so far achieved 168 consecutive perfect wastewater sampling results, and 14 perfect inspections.

The Pollution Prevention Award (also known as the P2 Award) is based on best practices in pollution prevention. It is awarded to companies that demonstrate a commitment to reducing or eliminating pollution through improved efficiency of raw materials and energy or other resources, or protection of natural resource by conservation.
Aloe Vera America received this award for its recent focus on water conservation during the cleaning of manufacturing equipment. From January 2021To September 2021Aloe Vera of America has conserved 353,400 Gallons of water.
Hernandez explains that Aloe Vera America is focusing on increasing its energy and water conservation programs to maintain our environmental, health, and water commitment.
Aloe Vera America has also established a waste collection program to reduce its plastic use and recycle it in a responsible manner. Aloe Vera of America also has ISO certifications in safety and environmental standards. In 2022, it will begin the process to obtain ISO certifications for water and energy conservation.
