Aloe Vera America receives two awards for environmental health efforts

Publication by the DallasBoth awards are based upon Aloe vera of America’s compliance performance and best management practices in natural resource conservation.

The Blue Thumb Award, a prestigious honor, is awarded to organizations that meet all federal and local pretreatment requirements for monitoring, reporting and manufacturing wastewater. It is based on compliance with all permit limits. DallasIt tests the quality of wastewater discharge. Aloe Vera America has three wastewater sampling points. Samples are taken unannounced twice a month from these points. Aloe vera of America must achieve 24 perfect water sampling results in a calendar year, and pass two yearly inspections that score perfect. To be eligible for the Blue Thumb Award Aloe Vera has so far achieved 168 consecutive perfect wastewater sampling results, and 14 perfect inspections.

The Pollution Prevention Award (also known as the P2 Award) is based on best practices in pollution prevention. It is given to companies that show commitment to reducing pollution by using more energy, raw materials, water, or other resources.

Aloe Vera America was awarded this award recently for its efforts to conserve water during cleaning of manufacturing equipment. From January 2021To September 2021Aloe Vera of America has conserved 353,400 Gallons of water.

Hernandez explains that Aloe Vera America is focusing on increasing its energy and water conservation programs to maintain our environmental, health, and water commitment.

Aloe Vera America has also established a waste recycling program as part of its ongoing commitment. In 2022, Aloe Vera will begin the process to obtain ISO certifications in water conservation and energy conservation.
