CAMDEN, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–American Water(NYSE:AWK), America’s largest publicly traded water and wastewater utility, today announced that participating state subsidiaries are now accepting applications for its 2022 Environmental Grant Program awards. The grant awards will be made in 12 American Water service regions: California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia West Virginia.

Environmental Grant ProgramProvides funds for innovative, community-based projects that improve, protect or restore watersheds, surface waters, and/or groundwater supplies. American Water and its state subsidiaries funded 49 projects last year that received grants totaling around $188,000.
