Armenian Ambassador briefs Rep. David Price on security environment in the region – Public Radio of Armenia

On March 30th Lilit Makunts was the Armenian Ambassador to America and met with Chairman of House Democracy Partnership, Congressman David Price (D-NC).

Ambassador Makunts highlighted the Armenian National Assembly’s role as a partner in HDP and highly praised the cooperation between these two legislative bodies.

Ambassador Makunts gave a briefing to Congressman about the security situation around Armenia and Artsakh. He stressed the importance of active engagement by the US, and other Co-Chairs in Minsk Group, to stop further escalation from Azerbaijani in the region.

Ambassador Makunts presented Congressman Price with the Medal of Honor by the President of Armenia’s National Assembly for his significant contributions to the development and strengthening of Armenian-American interparliamentary friendly relations.
