Michigan regulators are expected soon to decide whether to permit a Canadian company to construct its Line 5 tunnel under the Straits of Mackinac. At the least, part of the decision will be made based on climate impacts.

Friday, March 11, marked the last day for rebuttal briefs to be filed in the project’s pending permit review before the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC).
