In keeping with his wishes Bob Evans formed a partnership with National Future Farmers of America Organization and introduced Supervised Agricultural Experience grants to high school students. He was also involved in encouraging livestock farmers towards more efficient and earth-friendly grazing practices.
The Bob Evans FarmsToday, the company states that it is focused on “constantly improving sustainability and reducing environmental impact at our manufacturing plants, transportation center and corporate campus”. This is done by instituting standards and practices that reduce electrical power and natural gases. The company also donates food to local harvest programs, recyles, and designates organic material for composting.
