Budget 20222023, which provides an additional investment of $357 millions over five year to reclaim contaminated regions and rehabilitate soil, support sustainable practices and energy transition, also includes a provision for budget 20222023.
Supporting land rehabilitation and reclamation of contaminated zones
The removal of contamination from strategic lands and areas is a response to both socioeconomic and environmental issues. This is why the government will continue to act in the best interests of the people and future generations. $61 million has been invested over six years to support:

Budget 20222023 provides $143 million over five year to support sustainable practice, which is central to the government’s actions. This investment will help improve the Sustainable Agriculture Plan and reduce air and noise pollution. It will also improve waste water management. Qubec’s ability to withstand natural disasters will be enhanced. It will also promote eco design and the reduction in residual materials.
