Buhari names Mohammed Abdullahi Environment Minister

Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), the President, has approved the immediate redeploying of Mohammed Abdullahi, the new Minister for Environment.

According to Boss Mustapha (Secretary to the Government of the Federation), the development will take effect on 6 April 2022.

Abdullahi, a Nassarawa State lawyer, was Minister of State for Science, Technology, and Innovation until his appointment.

According to the statement, President Obama hopes to bring his experience and wealth of knowledge to his new task for the growth of the nation.

PUNCH reported that Muhammed Mahmoud (ex-Minister of Environment) was transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development after the President fired Sabo Nanono, 75, last year.

Prior to Abdullahis appointment Sharon Ikeazor was the Minister of Environment. She had previously managed the affairs for the ministry.
