Wednesday’s approval by President Muhammadu Buhari of the immediate re-deployment and appointment of Mohammed Abdullahi to the position of Minister of Environment was unanimous.
Abdullahi was, until his redeployment, the Minister of State Science, Technology and Innovation.

“The President hopes that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new assignment for the growth of the country,” a statement signed by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, said.
Abdullahi succeeds Dr. Muhammad Abubakar who was redeployed as Minister for Agriculture in September.
The Minister of State for Environment, Sharon Ikeazor, had acted as substantive minister until Abdullahi’s redeployment.
