Professor Wang Yue from Nanjing University technology and others recently created high-quality ZnSeTe-based quantum dots. They did this by cooling engineering the excited state to regulate it. This proved that environmental friendly quantum dots are possible in practice. Quantum dots are a promising luminescent material. However, the realization of high-quality, environmentally friendly quantum dots (QDs), is still difficult due to their efficient, but difficult non radiative radiation. The feasibility of ZnSeTe core-shell high-quality quantum dots was proved by the above team. This was done by studying the effect of cooling engineering upon excited state regulation. Relevant achievements were published by Science China materials.
