Link TVToday, Link TVs original environmental series, has announced its episode lineup EARTH FOCUSIn partnership with Thomson Reuters Foundation.The annual EARTH FOX ENVIRONMENTAL FILMS FESTIVALThe only festival of its type in Los Angeles will be returning virtually for the fourth year. April 24-29. The returning festival, presenting sponsor Edison InternationalFeaturing films and Q&A discussions about climate change realities. The goal is to confront global problems that impact all living things and natural resources.

The series, co-produced by Thomson Reuters Foundation and presented sponsor Hasa International, examines how social and environmental determinants affect health in a wide range populations living in the United States. This includes farmers who are suffering from rural isolation, warehouse workers who breathe polluted air, as well as uninsured families struggling to pay for health care. Since its inception, the series provides viewers with urgent local and international environmental coverage. The series focuses on key issues such endangered species and climate change. The new season ofEARTH FOCUS will air as follows (*schedule subject to change):

This episode features the stories of AltaMed’s patients and doctors. It reveals the socio-environmental determinants to health in South Gate, California.

This episode examines how climate change is affecting the mental health of homesteaders and farmers in Northern California, Arizona, and Wisconsin.

Everyday people are taking action against the ecommerce giants that pollute the Inland Empire.

To complement the on-air programming, the fourth annualEARTH FOOCUS ENVIRONMENTAL FILMS FESTIVAL – EFEFF This will take place From April 24-29, 2022. The festival will begin with an invitation-only Opening Night in-person screening the documentary film Zero GravityPasadenas Carnegie Observatories, followed by a panel conversation with filmmakers Thomas VerretteAdditional guests/TBA. Moderators will moderate the discussion. Dr. John S. MulchaeyDeputy Science, Carnegie Institution for Science Crawford H. Greenewalt Chair Director.

After the Festival’s opening night screening, there will be five virtual screenings. Each screening will have Q&A sessions that allow for better understanding and dialogue on environmental issues. The virtual 2022 film festival expands public media’s mission to strengthen communities through education. This year’s mission is to inspire positive change and engage viewers from all ages while raising funds for public medias future environmental programming.

This documentary film is directed, edited and produced by director, producer and editor. Thomas VerretteA diverse group middle school students from California’s Silicon Valley competes in a national tournament for programming satellites free of charge to the International Space Station. Featuring NASA astronauts Cy Coleman, Jack Fischer andSteve Smith.

April 25 BRING YOUR OWN SIGADE (1h59m)

A gripping documentary that captures the horrors and heroism of 2018’s wildfires. It focuses on the evacuation of thousands from Paradise and Malibu, two very different California communities. Two-time Oscar winnerNominated filmmaker Lucy WalkerExamines the reasons California has become more dangerous, and what can be done about the devastating effects of wildfires.

April 26 INHABITANTS: AN INDIGENOUS PERSPECTIVE (2h 44m)

Native Americans have been managing their natural resources for millennia despite discrimination, forced colonization, and other obstacles. This documentary focuses on how Indigenous communities are rebuilding their relationships with the Earth. It also reveals how their time-tested practices are essential in today’s rapidly changing world. Directed by Costa Boutsikaris Anna Palmer.

April 27, Two Documentaries | One Feature, One Short | Theme: Women Explorers

EXPOSURE (1h21m).

Felicity Aston, British explorer, leads an expedition to the North Pole that includes eleven women from Europe and the Arab World. Holly Morris, an award-winning filmmaker, and an all-women crew document this courageous group during one the most chaotic polar seasons ever recorded. This may be the last-ever over-ice expedition to the top.

UNDERSTORY: A JOURNEY THRU THE TONGASS (40m).

Three women embarked on a 350-mile expedition through southeast Alaska’s Tongass National Forest, the largest intact temperate rainforest on the planet. This documentary tells the story about this unique, non-renewable area, as well the effects that clear-cut logging could have on wildlife and the livelihoods of local communities. Directed by Colin ArismanProduced/narrated and edited by Elsa Sebastian.

April 28 THE GRASSHOPPER (1h14m)


This documentary was ten years in the making and weaves together the most pressing issues of our times through one farmer’s story. Anita ChitayaShe has a gift. She can make it possible to grow food from the dead soil, help men fight for gender equality, end child hunger in her village in East Africa. She now has to convince Americans that climate change is real, in order to save her home. Anita will be traveling from Malawi to California and the White House to share her knowledge and skills to help Americans recognize and break free from a mindset which is already causing the destruction of the Earth.

Following the screening, a recorded conversation will be held with the co-directors and co-producers. Raj Patel Zak Piper.Additional guests are still to be confirmed.
