She said that once you begin to understand them and connect them, they take on a new, much more alarming meaning.

The Climate Book will also share the 19-year-old’s perspective on greenwashing, a phenomenon where corporations, businesses and brands advertise eco-friendly products and services to create the illusion of being eco-friendly. Global CitizenGreenwashing is defined as: It falls between the two extremes of labeling something as being good for the planet and actually being good for it.
Thunberg stated to The Guardian that greenwashing is one the most serious problems with climate change because it keeps people ignorant about the real issues.
Right now, we need hope. Thunberg said to The Guardian that hope is not about pretending everything will be okay.
Thunberg will publish The Climate Book with Penguin Random House, his third book.
Thunberg, a teenager, is known for highlighting the harsh realities surrounding climate change. She most recently criticized world leaders outside the COP26 Climate Summit in Glasgow (Scotland) last November. After joining a large protest outside of the COP26 conference, she called on world leaders and other international organizations to make real progress in curbing greenhouse gas emissions and eliminating fossil fuels. She also called for banks to stop financing climate destruction.
Thunberg started her climate activism in 2018 when she started a school strike, which became a global movement known as Fridays for Future. This inspired school strikes in 150 countries for climate action, involving millions. Since then, Thunberg has spoken at climate rallies across the world, including at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the U.S. Congress and the United Nations.
Thunberg was named Times Person of the Year in 2019, and was also nominated for the Nobel Peace prize.
