Climate crisis: Polluters must pay

[ad_1]

President Joe Biden proposes billions to spend on infrastructure to adapt to and mitigate the climate crisis.

The oil, gas, and coal industries made billions from selling fossil fuels they knew would cause global warming and climate change. They spent millions on public relations and lobbying to block needed environmental policies and undermine climate science. The planet has been pushed to the edge by the actions of these powerful fossil fuel corporations.

Who should bear the burden of climate change? The polluters most responsible for the climate crisis, that’s who. There is no reason why the fossil fuel industries shouldn’t pay their fair share of the cleanup costs.

Charles Schumer, Senate Majority leader, must work to ensure that polluters pay for supercharging Climate Crisis in the final Infrastructure Bill.
