CNS Urges Personnel to Be Vigilant Against Criminal Activity in Your Environment

Zubair Gambo, Vice Admiral of the Chief Naval Staff (CNS), has urged his personnel to be more vigilant and security conscious in their environment, especially during the festive season and beyond.

Gambo made this warning at the end-of-the year celebrations for Nigerian Navy Ratings personnel in Lagos to consolidate on ways forward in operational efficiency in 2022. This was held at Nigerian Navy Training School ( NAVTRAS) NNS Quora parade grounds in Lagos.

He stated, “We celebrate God’s goodness and mercy in life from January through December which is the main reason why we are celebrating.”

It’s a time to reflect on the past, see what we have done so far, and make plans for the future.

CNS was represented by the Deputy Commander, Nigerian Navy Ship NNS QUORRA. Commodore Shuaib Ahmad said that it was a good cause for personnel to come together and celebrate.

Some of us have unfortunately lost our duty. CNS decided to hold such an event to commemorate and celebrate the successful twelve months.

He said that the country is currently in a difficult period due to the security situation. He suggested that the people should pray to overcome these challenges.

You and your family need to do a lot for their security. This is because only the living can see what is going on around them.

I advise everyone, especially the military, to take security seriously.

The days of segregation are gone. Everyone must be present to ensure that everything is in order.
