MONTREAL, May 4, 2022/PRNewswire/ Today, the North American Commission for Environmental Cooperation announced that 10 community projects were selected under the 2022 North American Partnership for Environmental Community Action grant program (NAPECA). This NAPECA cycle supports community recovery from the COVID-19 epidemic. C$1.5 MillionGrant funding for environmental initiatives in North America that support communities to implement solutions and increase resilience.
“The 10 winning projects aim encourage an equitable recovery by helping communities to address challenges exacerbated from the COVID-19 epidemic,” said the statement. Richard MorganCEC Executive Director.
From more than 200 submissions, the NAPECA selection committee selected 10 final projects. The CEC approved the selected projects. CouncilThis program has as its strategic objective to support model environmental projects that will help create long-term partnerships and promote shared responsibility for the environment.
The work on the selected projects will commence in May 2022And then, close by April 2024.
