Compendium of UN guidance on environment and health from WHO

Overview

This compendium is a systematic compilation from published guidance by WHO and other UN organisations on health, environment, and human rights. All are welcome to consult this guideline for policies and actions, as well as information on awareness raising and capacity building.
Major areas of environment and health. Guidance on priority settings for action, such as cities, other urban settlements and housing, workplaces, and health care facilities, is also listed.

Each guidance is classified according principally to involved sectors, level or implementation, and tools for implementation.

Each area of health and the environment is given guidance. Priority setting for action is also done. This information includes information on main sources, current guideline values, and exposure assessment. These are some of the important tools and additional resources.
These are also available.

This compilation of published guidance on environment and health highlights the fact that there are many actions available across major topics in health and environment. These actions can be applied to different levels and can be used to improve and reduce health.
Environmental risks. This compendium is intended as a resource and a repository for decision-makers at all levels of health and environment policy. It will be updated with any new guidance.
