Samsung Electronics introduced ecofriendly packaging to its Lifestyle TV product line in 2020. This was done to reduce its environmental footprint. The concept won the CES 2020 Innovation Awards.
Samsung Eco-Packaging boxes are made to be reused or recycled. It is made of eco-friendly corrugated card. Buyers can recycle the cardboard and make cat houses, magazine racks, shelves, and furniture to store electronic devices and household items, including the remote control. Our eco-packaging uses 90% less color than the previous year. We have reduced text and graphics and eliminated all staples. We can reduce the amount of waste we produce and make it easier to recycle.
The Eco-Packaging was applied to The Serif3, The Frame, and The Sero. It will be included in a wider range home appliances in the future as part Samsung’s commitment not to use single-use plastics in mobile packaging.
Samsungs Solar Cell Remote Controller Reduces Disposable Batteries
Worldwide, approximately 15 billion batteries are consumed each year. However, only 2% end up being recycled. Samsung Electronics created the innovative solar-powered remote control that Samsung TV products use to combat this environmental problem. It is 88% more efficient then 2020 models.
Samsung’s efforts to create eco-conscious products, services and products across all its business areas include the Samsung TVs solar-powered remote control. It is powered by light instead of disposable batteries and can also be recharged using indoor lighting, sunlight, or USB.
