Egypt: Shoukry confers with Malaysian Environment Minister on Issues Submitted to COP27

Sameh Shoukry, Foreign Minister and President-Designate of the United Nations Climate Change Summit (COP27), met in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday 15/3/2022 to discuss the issues listed on the agenda for the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27), which will be held in Egypt in November.

Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry, said that the meeting focused on ways of improving coordination between the countries in the next phase before the UN conference.

The spokesman stated that talks included discussions on how to adapt to climate change and its negative consequences, funding methods for the impact of climate changing on developing countries, and efforts to reduce emissions.
