Environment Canada predicts mixed weather for the first week, but temperatures could soar mid-week, which could lead to temperatures well above seasonal norms.
Meteorologist Dave Wray said Monday will start with “spotty showers” which are expected to pick up by the afternoon.
“Nothing really heavy, but a little bit wetter Monday afternoon into Monday night, and then the good news is, in behind, we’ve got a little bit of a clearing trend and also warming as well,” Wray said.
“Tuesday and Wednesday, we’re looking at daytime highs getting up to 16 or 17 degrees, which is quite nice. That’s about four to five degrees above normal for this time of year.”
Environment Canada predicts that Tuesday will be a mix between sun and cloud. Temperatures are expected to drop from 16 C in the daytime to 6 C on Tuesday night.
Wednesday’s high is expected to be 17 C with 60% chance of showers.
Environment Canada predicts Wednesday night will see a low of 1 C, with the possibility of showers.
Wray stated that the week’s end will be mostly sunny with mild temperatures.
“Temperatures won’t be as warm. Still decent, I’d say between 12 and 14 degrees from Thursday on through to the weekend,” Wray said.
A quick look at Saturday’s forecast shows that a high of 15 C is possible.
