Snowfall amounts up to 6 cm can lead to potentially dangerous driving conditions

Weather advisory in effect for

  • Newmarket – Georgina, Northern York Region
  • Uxbridge-Beaverton – Northern Durham Region

Winter weather advisory in effect tonight through Sunday

The area is expected to see snow this evening or tonight. The snow will continue through Sunday morning before ending from west to west throughout the day.

The snowfall totals are expected to be between 4 and 6 cm by the time it ends.

Traveling can be dangerous as untreated surfaces could become icy and snowy.

Winter driving conditions are dangerous and motorists should be prepared to adjust their travel plans accordingly. It is worth delaying non-essential travel until conditions improve.
