Winter weather travel advisory in force

Hazards:
Heavy snow may be possible at times, with snowfall accumulations up to 5-10 cm.
Local blowing snow

When:
Tonight through Friday morning

Discussion:
A low pressure centre is expected to bring snow to the region tonight and Friday morning. Snowfall can cause delays in Friday morning commutes.

Impacts:

Winter driving conditions are dangerous and motorists should be prepared to adjust their travel plans accordingly. Poor weather conditions could cause transportation delays. Reduce visibility while driving should be avoided. Be aware of tail lights ahead and slow down. Snow accumulation can make it difficult for vehicles to navigate roads, sidewalks, parking lots, and highways. In heavy snowfall, visibility may be reduced suddenly. Heavy snow may have an impact on urban rush hour traffic.
