Environment Canada has issued an extremely cold warning for Greater Sudbury and the surrounding area, Temiskamingshores, North Bay and West Nipissing.
Tonight through Wednesday morning, temperatures should drop to between 30 and 35 degrees with a windchill pushing it closer to -40.
Anyone exposed to those temperatures is at risk of frostbite, especially children, elderly people, people with chronic diseases, those who exercise outdoors, or those without shelter.
