Environment Canada issues extreme cold warnings to Simcoe County, Parry Sound Muskoka, Grey Bruce

Extreme cold warnings have also been issued for parts of Simcoe County as well as Parry Sound Muskoka, Grey Bruce and Grey Bruce.

Environment Canada says temperatures will drop to about minus 35 Celsius and wind chills may be felt in some areas on Monday morning.

Environment Canada stated on their website that there are more risks for older adults, young children, people with chronic illness, people who exercise outdoors or work outside, and people without shelter.

“Look out for symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath and muscle pain and weakness. Numbness and colour changes in fingers and toes are all signs of a cold.

Environment Canada suggests layering to keep warm.
