Environment Canada issues snowfall warning for Western Manitoba

As a snowfall warning, parts of western Manitoba can expect more snow Friday.

Environment Canada has published warnings for the Dauphin Russell, Roblin, Winnipegosis, Roblin and Roblin areas, along with Minnedosa National Park, Riding Mountain National Park, and Minnedosa.

A low-pressure system is moving through Saskatchewan, and this is what is triggering the warning.

Environment Canada predicted that Minnedosa would receive the most snow with between 10 to 15 centimetres of snowfall.

All other areas should expect between five and 10 centimetres.

Environment Canada predicts that the snow will move northeast before dissipating in the evening.

People are advised to drive cautiously and to adjust their driving based on road conditions.

Environment Canada says it is unlikely that the snow will affect Winnipeg, as there is only a 30% chance of light snow overnight or on Saturday.
