Winter weather travel advisory in place

Hazards:
Snow in total amounts of 5-10cm
Shorter, heavier snow and blowing powder can cause reduced visibility.

When:
From this morning to this afternoon.

Discussion:
Today will see a blanket of snow. Gusty southwesterly winds can cause snow drifts in exposed areas, as well as reduced visibility. The snow will become scattered flurries or drizzle this evening.

Impacts:

Motorists should be prepared for winter driving conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving turn on your lights and maintain safe distance. In heavy snow or blowing snow, visibility can suddenly drop to almost zero.
