Cool week ahead

Environment Canada predicts that the Okanagan will experience cooler temperatures and more unpredictable weather this week.

“There is quite the cold airmass above us now. It is not seasonal. Usually, we get up to about 14 degrees this time of year — so we are a good six or seven degrees off of that for a daytime high,” said meteorologist Dave Wray.

It’s the typical spring-time mixed bag weather. You can get small hail and gusty winds.

Wray stated, “By Wednesday we expect temperatures in the low teens.”

Monday’s high will be 9 C, with a 30% chance for rain showers or flurries in the Okanagan Valley.
Both Tuesday, and Wednesday, will be cloudy with a high at 8 C.

Environment Canada forecasts a high temperature of 7 C on Thursday with a mix sun and cloud.

Overnight Thursday, temperatures will rise to the seasonal average for this season.

Friday will be a sunny day with highs of 12 C.

Saturday will be sunny with a high of 13.C.
