Gen Z expects climate change, environmental forces to have a major impact on their future decision-making.,Axios has shared a new survey.
According to Harris Poll and Youth Development 4-H, 8 out 10 teens think climate change will have an impact on where they live and if they have kids.
According to the survey, 84% of 13 to 19 year-olds think that “if we don’t handle climate change today, it will be too late for future generations, rendering some regions of the earth unlivable.” Due to geopolitical instability, the same percentage believe that climate change will harm everyone in their generation.
Although teens worry about the effects of environmental forces, the survey results also show that there are reasons to be optimistic. Around 77% feel that they have a responsibility to protect the planet’s future and feel empowered to do so.
